National Association of Credit Managers (NACM) was founded in 1896 and remains a valuable resource for the commercial credit industry. NACM Affiliates and FCIB, NACM's international association, provide comprehensive business credit information on companies throughout the world. IB Comment - This is a worthwhile source for credit data. We have used their programs in the past and can recommend them.

 

Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) is the world's leading source of commercial information and credit risk management tools. IB Comment - Every banker and financial professional should be familiar with D&B. Its extensive database is updated frequently and is the industry standard. For certain industries, D&B may not be the best source of complete and up-to-date information.

 

Equifax has been providing consumer and business credit information for over 100 years.

 

Experian is a global leader in consumer and business credit reporting.

 

TransUnion, founded in 1968 is a leading consumer credit bureau.

 

Lyon Mercantile Group, Ltd is the umbrella company for Lyon Credit Services, Lyon Capital Corp and Lyon Collection Services, a premier provider of specialized business information for the home furnishings, home decor, gift, lighting, housewares & textile industries.

 

Owens Online, established in 1986, is an international credit and background check agency covering over 250 countries and territories.

 

Paynet, Inc., is the premier provider of risk management tools and market insight to the commercial credit industry, collecting real time loan information from more than 200 leading US lenders. Its database is the largest collection of commercial loans and leases, encompassing over 17 million current and historical contracts worth over $740 billion. IB Comment - Paynet is heavily used in the leasing industry and may be a good source of information for financial professionals who wish to understand a company's leasing and term debt activities.

 

Corporate Debt/Bonds

 

Moody's provides ratings on over 170,000 corporate, government and structured finance securities.

 

Standard & Poor's is known as a world-wide leader and independent provider of credit ratings and financial itelligence..

 

Fitch Ratings, Inc. is a global rating agency committed to providing the world's credit markets with independent and prospective credit opinions and data.

 

Food

 

Blue Book Online Services, has provided credit and trading information for the produce industry since 1901.

 

Red Book Credit Services (RBCS) provides access to a comprehensive, continually updated database of the Fresh Produce Industry. Produce Industry Credit Counsel (PICC) is a group of RBCS subscribers that provides the most current information in the produce industry.  IB Comment - Industry bible for produce-related companies.

 

Seafax, is the leading supplier of business information for the perishable food industry in North America. It services more than 1,200 businesses in the seafood, poultry and meat and pork industries. IB Comment - Seafax is the seafood industry bible. Lloyd's List Intelligence, Lloyd’s List Intelligence is the natural choice for business information in the global maritime and trade communities.Data is drawn from a comprehensive network of sources and reliable products including: Lloyd's List, Seasearcher, Lloyd's Casualty Reporting Service, Lloyd's Confidential Index, APEX, Hull Risk, Global LNG Tracker.

 

Trades

 

Contractorcheck.com SM, provided by Experian, provides background reports on contractors. It checks licenses, bonding, credit review, bankruptcies, liens and judgments.

 

Electrical Manufacturers' Credit Bureau - Since 1948, the EMCB has been supplying the electrical and lighting manufacturers throughout the United States and Canada with credit reports on wholesalers and retailers

 

JBT - Jewelers Board of Trade. For over 125 years, JBT to supporting their members with commercial credit reporting, collections and marketing services.

 

Industry Credit Group Association (BPCA) was founded in 1875 as the Stationers and Publishers Board of Trade is a credit based trade association. Membership is limited to manufacturers, wholesalers and factors. The National Credit Group includes companies that sell to retail and mass merchandise customers in a variety of lines. In December 2011, BPCA became a part of Ansonia Credit Data.

 

Trucking

 

Ansonia Credit Data has an extensive database of credit information on businesses with a concentration in the transportation industry.

 

First Advantage Transportation Services provides CompuNet â„¢ Credit Reports with D&B Scoring for the transportation industry

 

RTS Credit Service has been providing freight broker credit reports since 2001.

 

Cortera, formerly eCredit.com, provides business credit reports and free company profiles.

 

Transcredit, Inc., provides credit reports, account management and collection services to the transportation industry.
